You know ever since I've been reading all the overwhelming comments I've received seen I was awarded a Daily Deviation for this piece, I have had a lot of trouble writing a description. Then, when I thought about it, why do I have to write one. It has been incredible hearing everyone's different opinions, ideas and imaginings regarding this image. As a visual artist I'd love for you all to make your own stories and I love reading them. So by all means imagine the woman in the painting to be whatever you like. Make her mortal or immortal, rich or poor; and please, if you can tell me about, I'd truly love to hear you interpretation, no matter how silly you think it sounds.

I'm so glad to see someone paint such an image with the beauty and femininity it deserves, rather than treat it as something to hide and be shameful of...It is part of the cycle of life, and just like giving birth, is a beautiful--if often painful--rite of passage, and is nothing to fear or be disgusted by. Congrats on the well-deserved DD!
Ah... pieces like this always intrigue me. You make it look so easy, so natural, even, for that woman to be as long and sinuous as she is - to me she almost looks like she's born from the waves, algae stretching up and progressively taking the form of a woman. ^^ It's a bit of an odd interpretation, but the monthly cycles didn't really strike me at first - I saw the different elements as part of a metamorphosis rather than the cycle that everyone knozs of. Sorry; you mustn't ask me to interprete drawings, I tend to go on and on ( it's a writer thing, I'm gonna have to fix that ^^) ... all that to say, a very nice piece that flows and captivates. It makes me curious about your gallery Great work!
