Here is my entry for the new Wacom contest.
I must admit, when I first heard the contest theme was dreams I got so excited. Endless visions; day/night-dreams got my imagination doing back flips. When I read on to discover it was the other dream, a little bit of myself felt broken. Dreams for your future are usually big and beautiful things. Doing well in school, getting that one job you've always wanted or finding that person you love and starting a family. I've had them all. My head is in such a chaotic mess I seem to find it hard to hold on to a single one for very long, but one always remains.
My mother has told me that every since I knew Paris existed I've wanted to be there. To feel and live it. It's that one place that I know, if I ever get there, I can say, 'I can die happy now.'
Some things seem so far away.
I'm glad this contest theme wasn't referring to "the other kind". I've revived a dream. Not fantasy, one you can reach out and feel. A real Dream.
